Welp, it's almost that time, the time when all us college students pack up and leave. Sorry momma, I know you don't want to hear that.
But when we leave for school this year, let's go and try our best to make a difference. To our peers, to our teachers and to our community.
A blog about this, that, and anything and everything in between. God has a calling for you to be different, will you answer it?

What kind of example are YOU?
With school approaching fast, it makes me look back in high school... I was friends with anyone and everyone. Well, it's more like I talked to everyone, not necessarily friends with them. I talked to the preps, the jocks, the class clowns, and 'weird' ones. My high school had clicks, even if most people do not want to admit it, but it wasn't terrible. Almost everyone got along, but when someone wanted to be popular they would change their ways. We shouldn't change who we are to impress our peers, we should be who we are. And we should be an example of Christ to one another.
In 1Timothy 4:12 it says:
Blessings.
In 1Timothy 4:12 it says:
"Let NO ONE despise your youth, but be an EXAMPLE to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity..."See, God wants us to be examples for one another, to show the LOVE OF CHRIST in our everyday life. But if we go around saying we are one way and then go around acting another, we will just be another hypocrite christian to the world. That isn't what God wants of us. So, what kind of example are you?
Blessings.

You're not alone
On the days you feel forgotten;
you're not alone.
On the days when nobody is around;
you're not alone.
On the days when it seems nobody cares;
you're not alone
God is everywhere you are.
--There are days when everyone feels those way but you should know that you aren't alone, God is always near. On the days you feel this way grab your bible and dig into the word, don't go running to find what you can do or who you can hang out with. I used to do that, I hated being alone, but now I know HE is with me, always. So being alone is okay. It allows me to talk to God and draw closer to him.
So next time you are alone, remember that you aren't alone. :)
you're not alone.

you're not alone

Storm is Coming... Who will you run to for help?
Tonight, I lay in bed listening to the storm and I began to think about all the 'storms' that I have gone through in my life. Which happens to be a lot, but I know that God is there when I need him. Also, that there are probably more storms and trials coming in my life. In Isaiah 59:1 it says:
Who will you run to? God? Or will you just let the storm break you down?
Blessings,
Aimee
"Listen! The Lord's is not too weak to save you, nor is his ear too deaf to hear you call."See, through anything the Lord is there, all you have to do is call out to him. In any trial and in any storm, no matter how big or small it is.God is always there. It is just our choice to whether we let the storm and trial get to us or call out to our God to save us.
Who will you run to? God? Or will you just let the storm break you down?
Blessings,
Aimee

God's Plan
As girls, we see romantic movies and want our lives to turn out like that. So we search and search for the perfect guy, with (what we think) is the perfect hair, eyes, style, cars..etc. You know, a boy like..Justin Bieber? haha I'm just kidding. We search and search, then once we find this boy we will do whatever it takes for him to notice us, you know, we will dress cuter, act different, do what he likes, that kind of stuff. Then once we win this guy over we do as he wishes all the time. But, this isn't what God has planned for us, God has designed us the perfect soul mate, one who will love us almost as much as God loves us. God has someone planned for you that loves HIM as much as you do. In 2Corin 6:14 it says:
See, for the longest time I knew what I was going to do, I was going to stay in my small town, teach junior high Math, have a daughter and son, and be married to my high school "sweat heart." But that didn't turn out as planned. My "sweat heart" and I broke up (no questions need to be asked). I changed my major in college, and I don't know what is coming next in my life. But for the first time in my existence, that is perfectly okay by me. I know my prince charming is near, though I do not know who he is, all I can do is live my life and let him come. I know that I am called to teach, so my major is now special/elementary education and I am very excited. But as for the rest of my life, I will let God tell me what's next. I WILL wait for him to lead me on the right path he has called me on.
Will you wait on Gods plan?
Blessings,
Aimee
"Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers..."God wants you to be running as fast as you can towards him, and look over and see your soul mate running right along side of you. If God takes them out of your life, then it is for a reason. Because God has a strong plan for you. As it says in Jer. 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans of peace and not evil, to give you a future and a hope."See, we may think we have it all figured out, the house we want to live in, the boy we are going to marry, the job we are going to have, and can't forget about the dream wedding. But is it what God has planned for you? Or is it what you want?
